CATDOLL : Introduction to the role of cat tail

Introduction to the role of cat tail

The function of cat's tail:

1. Coordinate the body to maintain balance. When a cat is walking, running fast, chasing prey, or falling from a high place, it can use its tail to maintain balance and land safely.

2. Used to express their mood. Cats can convey their emotions and thoughts through their tails. For example, when a cat is excited, its tail may twitch violently, and when a cat is afraid, it may lower its tail.

3. A cat's tail can help coordinate the body to complete various movements and physiological behaviors. For example, if a cat wants to complete a jumping action, it will easily fall without the bounce and support of its tail.

4. When a mother cat takes many kittens for a walk, her tail will stand up high, like a flag, which can serve as a sign to guide the kittens.

5. Help cats drive away mosquitoes and flies. The long tail can act as a fly swatter to drive away mosquitoes and flies when the cat lies down to rest.

Notes on cat's tail:

1. The cat's tail is relatively dirty, especially the area near the buttocks, which secretes a lot of oil, making the tail feel greasy. Therefore, the owner can wash the cat's tail specifically.

2. The hair at the tip of the cat's tail is split. This is one of the signs that a cat is beginning to age, but it does not mean that all older cats will have this condition. Some cats will have baldness at the tip of their tails when they are old.

3. A cat's tail is an important organ in its body. Never let children lift a cat by its tail, as this can easily injure the cat's tail.
