CATDOLL : What are the symptoms of a cat dying?

Cats have a very short life span, only a dozen years or even shorter. Cats will show the following 6 signs before they die:

1. Looks listless: When a cat’s life is coming to an end, it will often lie still, sleep longer, be awake for a short time, and look listless when it is awake.

2. Stiff limbs and difficulty walking: Before a cat dies, its body temperature will drop, its limbs will become cold and slightly stiff, making it difficult to walk.

3. Decreased appetite: Most cats are greedy, and eating is very important to them even in old age. But if a cat's appetite becomes very poor, and it shows no interest at all even when given its favorite food, then it is very likely that the cat is entering the countdown of its life.

4. Often hiding in the corner: If your cat often hides and doesn’t let you find it, it means that it feels that its body may not be able to hold on for much longer.

5. Difficulty breathing: If you find that your cat is breathing very lightly, or even has to open its mouth to breathe, and its heartbeat becomes very weak and seems to be about to stop beating at any time, then it may really be leaving you.

6. Running away from home: Cats don’t want their owners to see them sad after they die, or cats want to return to nature after death and return to the place where their ancestors lived.

So if your cat runs away from home without any warning, it may be that it knows that its time is running out.
