It’s not that guppies cannot be raised with other fish, but they can only be raised with some fish.

First of all, guppies are tropical fish, so among aquarium fish, we must first exclude them from being kept together with marine fish, freshwater goldfish and koi, because they each need different living environments, water quality, temperature, PH and salinity, and tropical fish are a type of native fish, so peacocks can only be kept together with native fish of the same genus, and since the temperature is different, we can only choose tropical fish among native fish.

Secondly, guppies are small fish, with an adult body length of only about 2-4 cm, so among the native tropical fish, only small tropical fish of the same type can be raised together. If medium-sized and large tropical fish are raised together, guppies will become food for other fish.

Thirdly, guppies are a group fish species, so you can only choose other small tropical fish of the same group species to mix with them. If you mix with a single predatory species, the guppies will always be in a state of panic and harassment, and their health will not be so good.

Finally, although guppies are omnivorous fish, they do not actively attack other normal fish. Therefore, they are usually kept with small and gentle tropical fish species. If they are mixed with carnivorous predatory fish, guppies will often be attacked and killed.
