How long can grasshopper eggs survive?

How long can grasshopper eggs survive? Locust eggs can generally survive for 20-30 days. Under good weather conditions, locust eggs take about 20-30 days to hatch into larvae.

After laying eggs, adult grasshoppers usually die in about 3-5 days. A grasshopper can only lay eggs once in its lifetime, and its life cycle is 60 days. When laying eggs, the female will secrete a white substance that forms a cylindrical plug, and then insert the ovipositor into the soil about 10 cm deep, and then lay about 50 eggs. Grasshopper eggs will hatch in about 21 days.

How long does it take for a locust to die if its abdomen is placed in water?

It will take about ten minutes.

I seem to have played it when I was a kid.

refer to:

"Through research, I learned that the locust's "nose" is not on its head, but on its belly. This aroused my interest. I decided to do an experiment to verify it. I caught two locusts and prepared two bowls of water. I immersed the abdomen of one locust in the water and put the head of the other in the water. I found some small bubbles coming out of the abdomen of the first locust. A minute later, both locusts were still alive and kicking. Five minutes later, the six legs of the locust with its head in the water were still kicking, and the strength of the one with its abdomen in the water began to weaken. After seven or eight minutes, the locust with its head in the water was still the same, while the one with its abdomen in the water was almost motionless, and its abdomen was bulging high, just like a frog bulging its belly. About ten minutes later, the locust with its abdomen in the water was motionless and had died.
