1. Disinfection of new tank: Clean the new tank, disinfect it with salt, and wash it 1-2 times. Fill the main tank with water, put water in the main tank to stabilize the water quality, and use an air pump to pump air in the main tank. Place the filter material properly in the bottom tank, but it is recommended that the filter material should not be too full in the early stage of the tank opening. Normally, half of the filter material is enough. The most effective cultivation of nitrifying bacteria in the early stage comes from white cotton, biochemical cotton, rattan cotton, and black cotton. So you can put more cotton, and the rest of the bacteria house, biological ring, ceramic ring, infrared, quartz ball, etc., just put a small amount, and you can gradually add them in the later stage.

2. At this time, you do not need to turn on the main water pump and run the fish tank. Use a separate small water pump in the bottom tank. For filter tanks of 120CM-150CM, you can choose a 1000L-2000L water pump. For those above 150cm, you can choose a 3000L pump, but it is recommended that the water pump should not be too large. Put a separate small water pump into the last level of the bottom tank water pump area, connect it with a hose and put the water pumped into the first level physical area, so as to form the framework of the bottom tank independent nitrification system. On the first day, you only need to put one-third of the water in the bottom tank to stabilize the water quality, and turn on the water pump and heating rod.

3. After the filter tank has been running for 3-5 days, turn on the main tank water pump and stop the separate small water pump. Put the fish in the tank and observe the water quality and the fish's body surface. If the fish is fine, it is okay to put the dragon in after 2-3 days.

What kind of water should be used to raise ornamental fish?

Most ornamental fish are freshwater fish, so they can be raised with purified water, well water, river water and other freshwater. A few ornamental fish need to be raised with seawater with high salt content. When raising them, you must identify the species of ornamental fish. If you use tap water to raise ornamental fish, you must let the tap water dry for a few days before using it.
