First of all, the breeding site should be far away from residential areas, factories and other areas, and a good environment should be selected, preferably a location with a water source nearby to build the pond; the water area for stocking should preferably be 4-8 mu, with a water depth of 1.5-2 meters. Before stocking (the best time for stocking is May-June), sprinkle an appropriate amount of organic fertilizer to increase the nutrient content in the water; inspect the pond regularly every day to observe the color of the water and the activity of the fry; when the temperature drops in winter, remove the fish and concentrate them in deeper fish ponds to overwinter.
