(1) Pathogen and harm This disease is caused by the invasion of the intestinal tract by the tapeworm. The diseased fish are thin and weak, floating on the surface of the water without eating, with their mouths open and appearing restless. When the infection is severe, many white worm bodies can be seen in the intestines with the naked eye, causing the front end of the intestine to swell like a stomach and inflammation, resulting in intestinal obstruction and death. This worm mainly parasitizes the intestines of grass carp, black carp, silver carp, dace and other fish, but it is particularly harmful to grass carp. This disease is a serious endemic disease in Guangdong and Guangxi. In recent years, this disease has also been found in Hubei and Fujian. (2) Prevention and control methods ① Use quicklime and water to clean the pond, with a dosage of 200-250 mg/L. ② When other methods are used to clean the pond, release the fry 50 days after cleaning the pond to prevent it by cutting off the life cycle of the tapeworm. ③ For every 10,000 fingerlings, grind 250 grams of pumpkin seeds into powder, add 1 kg of rice bran and an appropriate amount of flour, mix well and feed it for 3 consecutive days. ④ For every 10,000 fingerlings, mix 150 grams of 90% crystal dichlorvos with feed and feed the fish for 3 to 6 days.
