CATDOLL: How to breed cicada monkeys artificially?

As the nutritional value of golden cicadas has become well known to many people, the price of golden cicadas has been rising year by year. The reason why golden cicadas have such a high price is mainly because golden cicadas are also a precious medicinal material. Naturally, golden cicadas can also be artificially cultivated.

Tools/Raw Materials

Golden Cicada

Methods/Steps

First, the soil. Generally, cicadas prefer fruit trees, which are rich in sap, so they usually choose land with fertile soil. However, you must choose flat land, and there should not be too much water.

Second, bury the egg sticks. First, take the egg sticks to the incubation room and store them under constant temperature. Then dig a 50-centimeter ditch around the fruit tree and bury the egg sticks in it. Be careful not to make the density too high and have a drainage device.

Third, hatching. In about fifteen days, the larvae will hatch. At this time, some of the larvae will crawl up and down the branches. When about 20% of the larvae are hatched, they need to be buried. During the hatching period, depending on the hatching situation, when a small number of cicada larvae are found to be active, the branches together with fine sand can be placed in the breeding place for planting.

Fourth, during the breeding process, we must pay attention to natural enemies in the food chain. Under the requirements for the soil, there must not be any natural enemies such as ants and mice.

Fifth, harvesting. Generally speaking, artificially cultivated cicadas can be harvested within two years. At this time, in order to allow them to climb to high places, you need to wrap tape around the fruit trees so that they can be harvested with confidence.

6

Sixth, after harvesting the insects, all that remains is to sell them in the market. At this time, the buying and selling activities must be carried out according to the characteristics of the cicada monkey market.
