CATDOLL : How do cats communicate?

How do cats communicate?

Cat communication methods:

1. Smell communication. Cats use scent to mark their territory and also use scent to mark their friends. For example, they rub the top of their heads against each other, or rub their tails against each other's bodies. This is the cat using the glands to mark the scent.

2. Physical contact. Cats that have a good relationship will have more physical contact, such as licking each other's fur, huddling together to bask in the sun, or rubbing each other's bodies with their tails. In the cat world, only cats with a higher status will lick the fur of other cats.

3. Sound communication. Cats communicate with humans through meowing, but cats do not communicate with each other through meowing. Cats only make sounds when they are attacking or fighting. Different calls, volume and tone of the calls can well express the emotions of cats.

How cats communicate with humans:

1. Purring. A cat’s purring may mean that it is satisfied, or more likely that it is afraid, sick, or injured, and hopes that you can provide it with some help.

2. Meow. Meow is the most common way cats communicate with humans, and they also think it is the most effective way to communicate with humans.

3. Tail posture. A tail with loose fur standing upright indicates a happy cat, while the same posture with upright fur feels angry or scared. A low-hanging tail means your cat feels anxious or insecure.

4. Blinking: When you are with your cat, blinking slowly means that he is comfortable around you.

5. Halloween pose. When your cat, or anything else, feels threatened, it strikes the classic cat pose with arched back, high tail, and erect hair.

6. Rubbing against you. Rubbing against your legs is your cat's way of marking your territory, and it can also be interpreted as your cat showing you that it loves you.
