How to measure a cat's body temperature:

1. Rectal measurement: Before measuring the rectal temperature, you can apply some lubricant on the front end of the thermometer to prevent the cat from feeling uncomfortable. The mercury needle of the thermometer should enter the anus about 2 inches and it can be read in 20 to 30 seconds.

2. In-ear measurement: Gently grasp your ear with your fingers, then put the ear thermometer into the ear, press the measurement button, and the data will be displayed.

Solutions to cats with high temperature:

1. Place the cat in a quiet and cool place, wipe its body with a wet wipe, and let its body temperature slowly drop.

2. If the cat's body temperature rises and is accompanied by symptoms such as general weakness, lack of energy, and loss of appetite, pathological factors should be considered. The cat should take oral antipyretic drugs or go to a local hospital for examination and treatment.
