CATDOLL : Why cats don't like being held

Reasons why cats don’t like being held:

1. If the cat is not held correctly, the cat will feel uncomfortable and restrained, and will want to break free.

2. If the cat is not familiar enough with its owner and remains vigilant, it will not allow the owner to get close to it. Usually, the owner needs to interact more with the cat to enhance the relationship.

3. If the owner has a smell that the cat doesn’t like, the cat will resist the owner’s hug and touch.

4. If the owner has held other pets before, the cat will smell the scent of other pets on the owner and become jealous, and will refuse to let the owner hold it.

5. When a cat is scared or nervous, it will avoid you if you hold it forcibly. Once its emotions are stable, it will no longer resist.
