How long do Turkish Angora cats usually live?

Turkish Angora cats can generally live to 10-15 years old, but Turkish Angora cats over seven years old are prone to diabetes because of the lack of insulin in the body, which affects the normal transportation and utilization of blood sugar. Turkish Angora cats weighing more than 7 kg are twice as likely to develop diabetes as cats weighing less than 7 kg. In addition, many diabetic cats have their blood sugar returned to normal values after dieting and losing weight. Controlling weight is a good way to extend the life of Turkish Angora cats.

Ways to prolong the lifespan of a Turkish Angora cat:

1. Turkish Angora cats can eat cat food that is rich in nutrients. Give them some meat appropriately. Beef is the most nutritious, but it must be cooked, otherwise there will be too many parasites. This is not good for their growth.

2. Do not feed Angora cats human food for a long time, as it will cause malnutrition and affect their health.

3. Angora cats also have the habit of self-cleaning with their tongues. Angora's hair is long and will accumulate in the stomach. They should be fed hair-removing paste regularly to help them clean out the indigestible hair balls in the stomach and intestines to reduce the possibility of gastrointestinal discomfort.

4. Breeders should often accompany Angora cats for exercise and interact with each other. Leaving Angora cats alone at home for a long time is not good for the cat's physical and mental health.
