How to raise maggots?

There are many ways to raise fly maggots. Here is a simple method. Build a greenhouse outdoors and repair a breeding pond inside. Pour 40-50 kg of culture medium into each square meter of the breeding pond. Keep the thickness of the material 10-15 cm, high in the middle and low around. Spread a thin layer of fly eggs or egg collection materials with fly eggs on the material pile. The egg collection amount is 20-25 grams per square meter. The eggs should not be exposed, but they should not be buried too deep. Under the conditions of temperature 25°C-33°C and dark environment, the young maggots will eat the pile of feed in one day, and the maggots will crawl out in large numbers in 3-4 days. At this time, the feed pile scattered by the maggots should be piled into a large pile twice a day so that the fly maggots can be separated automatically. After separation, shovel out the remaining feed and put in new fermented feed again to cycle production. If the culture medium is loose and black in color, remove part of the upper culture medium and then add new culture medium.

How to cultivate maggots?

Basis of utilization Flies themselves do not contain germs, but they have strong resistance to germs. Studies have found that flies have natural anti-toxicity and antibacterial peptides, so flies will not get sick even in the dirtiest places: The method of breeding fly maggots is to keep flies in a closed cage made of mosquito net cloth. In this way, the trouble of bacteria is avoided from the source, and flies are prevented from flying around and harming the environment. Milk powder and brown sugar are the best feed for artificially raising houseflies. The general temperature should be maintained at 25~30°C, the humidity should be maintained at 65%~75%, and attention should be paid to ventilation and disinfection of the breeding room. Utilization of fly maggots Flies have a strong reproductive capacity. In the life course of more than ten days, a fly can produce thousands of fly eggs. The eggs laid by flies hatch into fly maggots, which must be raised in fermented bran. The life cycle of fly maggots is generally only 7 days. When they grow to the fourth day, it is the best time to make feed. At this time, separate the maggots from the fermented bran and use them as bait.
