When breeding grass carp fry, you need to sprinkle quicklime or rapeseed cake into the pond to disinfect the dry pond, and in early to mid-May each year, release the grass carp fry into the fish pond. When feeding the grass carp fry, you need to provide them with rapeseed cake, bean cake, soy milk, rotifers and other foods to meet the growth needs of grass carp.

How to breed grass carp fry 1. Dry pond disinfection

Grass carp splash fry are relatively fragile and have a low survival rate. When breeding grass carp splash fry, you need to drain the pond first, then sprinkle quicklime, rapeseed cake or bleaching powder into it for disinfection, and then when injecting clean water into the pond, you need to use a filter net to cover the water inlet to prevent the entry of miscellaneous fish.

2. Delivery method

It is suitable to release grass carp fry in early to mid-May every year, because the temperature is higher at this time, which is conducive to improving the survival rate of the fry. Before releasing the grass carp fry, they need to be soaked in 1% salt water for 5 minutes to disinfect and sterilize the fry, which is conducive to the growth and reproduction of grass carp fry.

3. Feeding and management

When breeding grass carp fry, you need to add soy milk and fermented rapeseed cake to the pond one day after they are released to provide food for the grass carp fry. After waiting for 7-10 days, you can feed them rotifers, blood worms, mealworms, snail meat and other foods once a day to meet the growth needs of the grass carp and make it grow quickly.

4. Feeding methods

When raising grass carp fry, the pond water needs to be changed every month, and the amount of water changed each time should not exceed one-third. In addition, when the temperature is high, an aerator needs to be installed in the pond to increase the oxygen content in the water, and the leftover food of the grass carp needs to be removed every night to prevent food spoilage.
