CATDOLL : CATDOLL: How to collect and transport silver carp fry?

At present, all farmed fish can be artificially propagated to obtain fry. However, the artificial propagation technology of black carp, grass carp, silver carp, bighead carp and silver carp is relatively complicated, requiring more sites, medicines and equipment, and they are all semi-floating eggs, which require higher conditions during the hatching process. Therefore, the demand for these fry by farm fish farmers is recommended to be solved by collecting and transporting them from nearby state-owned or collective (specialized) fry breeding farms (or fish farms).

With the popularization of artificial breeding technology of domestic fish, fish fry breeding farms (or professional households, fish farms) are widely set up. In addition to supplying black carp, grass carp, silver carp and bighead carp fry, they also supply silver carp fry in Hengyang, Lianyuan, Shaoyang and other areas of Hunan where silver carp is farmed.

Farmers raise fish and purchase fry from local fish breeding farms nearby, which is more economical and affordable. Purchasing fry from other places will inevitably encounter a problem of transporting fry.

The working people have rich experience in transporting fry, and there are many methods and tools for transportation. Farmers usually transport fry in small quantities and short distances, so it is most suitable to use plastic bags filled with oxygen or shoulder-carrying transportation.
