In which month can a frog lay eggs at one time and how many eggs can it lay?

Frogs lay eggs from March to May, and can lay 34 eggs at a time.

Frogs live in the grass on the banks of ponds, ditches and rivers, and in rice fields. They prey on insects, mainly agricultural pests. Adult frogs lead an amphibious life, generally hiding in the grass or rice fields during the day, and coming out at dusk and early morning.

When the temperature drops below 10℃, frogs hibernate by the water or in the soil. They come out of their nests in the spring of the following year (early March in the Yangtze River Basin) and usually reproduce from April to July. A female frog can lay 34 eggs at a time, and tadpoles can hatch from the fertilized eggs in 12 days. When the tadpoles grow to a certain size, they begin the metamorphosis process.

Additional information:

Frogs often live in rivers, ponds, and rice fields. They mainly move in the grass near the water, and sometimes they can hide in the water. They are mostly active at night, and feed mainly on insects. They also eat some snails, snails, shrimps, and small fish. Most of the insects they eat are agricultural pests. Some people estimate that a frog can catch 70 insects a day and kill 15,000 pests a year. Therefore, frogs are an animal that is beneficial to agriculture and should be protected.

When the weather turns cold in late autumn, frogs hibernate in the water or in caves, and return to the water to reproduce when the weather warms up in the spring of the following year. During the breeding period, many male frogs often gather in a common area and call loudly and continuously, which is called "toad quarrel pit" .
