CATDOLL: How to breed golden arowana and how often to breed

It is very difficult to breed golden arowana because it will only go into heat and reproduce under the influence of specific environmental factors. In order for golden arowana to reproduce, artificial intervention is necessary. After golden arowana reaches sexual maturity, female and male fish are placed together to artificially induce them to go into heat. After the female fish lays eggs and the male fish fertilizes the eggs, the fertilized eggs are placed in the incubation tank. Keep the temperature of the incubation tank at 28°C, and the young fish will hatch in about 40 days. 1. How to breed golden arowana Golden arowana is a relatively difficult tropical fish to breed. Golden arowana will only look for the opposite sex to mate and reproduce after its sexual function matures. However, they can only go into heat and mate under the influence of specific environmental factors, so artificial pairing is generally used to let them mate. That is, insert a baffle with holes in the water tank to separate the female and male fish. When they reach sexual maturity, they will have a strong desire to mate. At this time, remove the baffle and they can successfully mate. After that, the female fish will lay eggs and the male fish will fertilize the eggs. To ensure that the fish can hatch successfully, the male fish cannot be allowed to incubate the eggs. The fertilized eggs must be taken out immediately and placed in a special incubation tank. Keep the temperature of the incubation tank at around 28°C, and the fish will hatch after about 40 days.

2. How often does the golden arowana reproduce? It takes a long process for the golden arowana to spawn from birth. Generally speaking, male fish can reproduce between 5 and 16 years old, while female fish can only spawn between 6 and 12 years old. Since they can only estrus and mate under the stimulation of specific environmental factors, the number of reproductions per year is not large. Under human intervention, it is good for them to reproduce once a year.
