Silver cod is a deep-sea fish, a saltwater fish, rich in nutrients. What is the difference between it and the so-called {cod}? It is actually an oily fish, a name given by pretending to be cod.

Oily fish is the general name for spiny-scaled snake mackerel and hetero-scaled snake mackerel. It looks similar to cod, but they are not the same species. Since the fish currently sold on the market are all headless and cut into pieces, it is difficult for ordinary consumers to distinguish them by appearance. Oily fish contains wax fat that cannot be digested by the human body and is difficult for the human body to digest. After some people eat it, it will accumulate in the rectum, causing diarrhea, gastrointestinal cramps and other discomforts. An experimental report shows that after 44 people ate oily fish, 20 people felt uncomfortable, of which 80% had oily diarrhea, 50% had gastrointestinal cramps, 35% had headaches, and 25% had vomiting. The commercial value of oily fish is not high, and it is a low-priced fish. Because of its high oil content, it is mainly used to refine industrial lubricants.
