First of all, from the perspective of living environment, silver carp lives in the upper layer of the water, feeding on phytoplankton such as diatoms and green algae. Also, from the perspective of the size of the fish head, silver carp and bighead carp both have large heads, but the bighead carp's head is even larger, accounting for 1/2 or even more of the body, so the bighead carp is also called "big-headed fish" or "fat-headed fish". Another thing is the color of the fish scales on the body. Silver carp has light black spots on its body, while silver carp has all white scales without black spots, which is easier to distinguish.
